Figure 13. Vegetation around the confluence of the Glen Gyle Creek and the Parapara River. The foreground is terrace vegetation on the true right bank of the river, probably where access to the proposed Power House would be located. The central willows are on the left bank, probably planted for bank stability when the area was settled. Nikau palms grow in the gorge at the top left and are present with other lowland species between the waterways. The proposed Power House would be approximately centrally contained.
